75th Anniversary of School of Agriculture, Kundasale
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Sri Lanka School of Agriculture, Kundasale. The staff and students of the Sri Lanka School of Agriculture, the Extension and Training Division of the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Agriculture together with the full support of the Alumni of the Kundasale School of Agriculture have made arrangements to celebrate the 75th anniversary with pride.
The following programs have been organized to celebrate the 75th anniversary.
- At the beginning of the year 2023, conduct a Pirith Sachayana in January and offer alms
- Conducting inter school Quiz Competition among Kandy district school students
- Conducting an inter school cricket tournament among schools of Agriculture
- Organization of blood donation camp
- Organizing an agro-technical exhibition in connection with the 75th anniversary in the 4th, 5th and 6th of July 2023. The exhibition will be held for 03 days and the following programs will be implemented during those 03 days.
- The agricultural technology exhibition for the surrounding farmers, students studying agriculture courses, school students and the public during 3 days.
- Conducting an agro-crop clinic for the surrounding farmers
- Conducting local food promotion programs
- Allocate stalls of exhibition for public and private sector institues.
- Organizing street plays by students to impart agricultural knowledge
- Tribute to officers who have served in College of Agriculture
- Conducting a local medical clinic
