WE MONITOR THE FINANCIAL AND PHYSICAL PROGRESS

Physical and financial progress of Capital allocation, Recurrent allocation, Special projects, National Food Production Program, National Agricultural Research Plans, Small scale projects, Projects approved by the budget proposal and the progress of technical activities conducted by the Department of Agriculture, are monitored throughout the year. Progress reports of special projects, National Food Production Program, National Agricultural Research Plans, Small scale projects and the progress of technical activities are prepared and submitted monthly to the Ministry of Agriculture and quarterly to the audit division. In addition to that, progress report of capital allocation expenditure is submitted monthly and progress reports of Technical action plans are monitored and submitted quarterly to the audit divisions.

PROGRESS OF PROCUREMENT ACTIVITIES

Progress of all procurement activities are done by the Department of Agriculture, compiled and submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture and forwarded to the National Procurement Committee in every year.

ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REPORT & ANNUAL REPORT OF DOA

Annual Performance Report of the Department of Agriculture is compiled and submitted to the parliament through the Ministry of Agriculture. 

Annual Report of the DOA which includes detailed description of all the activities including technical works are conducted by the DOA prepared and distributed among relevant Institute.

Responsible for progress monitoring and evaluating of activities and development projects conducted by all institutes and centers of the Department of Agriculture.

In addition, it holds the responsibility of preparing Annual Action Plans, Procurement Plans, Annual Performance Report of the Department of Agriculture, Monthly Progress Reports and other Relevant Reports of the Department of Agriculture for the Ministry of Agriculture.

MISSION

To monitor and evaluate the progress of the Department of Agriculture, working in collaboration with partner organization for the achievement of desired outcomes and to improve service delivery to the public and the farmer community.

MESSAGE FROM THE ADITIONAL DIRECTOR

“The mandatory task of the Progress Monitoring and Evaluation Unit is to monitor and evaluate the development programs and activities of all institutes and centers of Department of Agriculture and projects implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture through Department of Agriculture. The responsibility for the preparation of annual action plans, procurement plans, annual performance report, monthly and quarterly progress reports and other relevant reports of the Department of Agriculture for the Ministry of Agriculture and other institutes.”
