Assistant Directors of Agriculture recruited to Sri Lanka Agriculture Service under Limited Competitive Examination commence duties

After a gap of 11 years, the appointment of the officers recruited to the Sri Lanka Agriculture Service under limited competitive examinations was made on 20.08.2024 at the Plant Genetic Resource Centre.

Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture and Plantation Industries, Director General of Agriculture, Additional Directors and other officials of the Department of Agriculture were also present on the occasion.

Appointments were made for 79 posts of Assistant Director of Agriculture (Agricultural Development), 53 posts of Assistant Director of Agriculture (Agricultural Research) and 4 posts of Assistant Director of Agriculture (Agro-Economics). In-service training for them will be conducted from 20th to 23rd August and the duties of the new post will commence from 26th August.
