Regional Agriculture Research & Development Centre - Karadiyanaru
The Regional Agriculture Research and Development Centre, Aralaganwila was established in 1982 to serve the research needs for the agricultural development of Mahaweli system B. With the restructuring of the department of agriculture in 1993, this centre was brought under Field Crop Research and Development Institute, Mahailupallama and given the responsibility to work on research and development of field crops.
- Present mandated areas are Polonnaruwa, Ampara, Batticaloa and Trincomalee, Interprovincial areas of Hasalaka, Mahiyangana & Mahaweli System B, C, D, G
- This Centre is working with regional Improvement crops the rice, fruits, vegetables in addition to the giving mandate corps.
- also, This station act as the agriculture-related training provides to officer, training school children in the region.
