Sustainable Crop Production with CABI PlantwisePlus Digital Tools

To respond to the needs of farmers and the systems that support them, PlantwisePlus helps countries to predict, prevent, and prepare for plant health threats and reduce crop losses. This ensures that smallholder farmers produce more food and improve its quality.

The PlantwisePlus Toolkit contains tried and trusted digital tools that support farmer advisors’ decision-making. It provides easy access to plant health and crop protection websites, mobile apps and online training courses.

This open access tool provides information on registered biocontrol and biopesticide products worldwide. Available online and offline, it helps growers and agricultural advisors identify, source and correctly apply bio control and biopesticide products against problematic pests in their crops.

The PlantwisePlus Knowledge Bank contains over 15,000 crop and pest management factsheets, guides and videos, a pest diagnostic tool and country resources, including pesticide lists and diagnostic support.

CABI Academy’s range of training courses and certifications develop and build plant health skills, strengthening the advice available to farmers. The flexible, interactive courses are available online or offline via the app.

Access PlantwisePlus Knowledge Bank factsheets offline with the PlantwisePlus Factsheets app. Available on Android and iOS, the app gives farmer advisors access to the most up-to-date, relevant plant health material with the safest advice.

An easy-to-use, free Android app that helps calculate how much pesticide to use when treating crops. The different calculations featured on the app ensure just the right amount of product is applied, saving money and minimizing the risks associated with pesticide overuse.
