Commencement of duties in the year 2022 was held on 03.01.2022 at the Head Office premises of the Department of Agriculture under the patronage of the Director General of Agriculture, Dr. Ajantha de Silva, giving priority to religious observances.

Simultaneously, duties were commenced in all the Regional Offices of the Department of Agriculture.
