As fungal diseases rice sheath blight and blast are the common disease in Sri Lanka. Both diseases can be controlled by agronomic practices easily. However as a direct control method chemical control is important in large scale cultivation. Therefore evaluation of fungicide is important to avoid resistant development for the chemicals. Grain discoloration is a complex which caused by several reasons. However, it is mostly occurred due to number of fungi related to rice diseases. Therefore, as a prevention application of fungicide is important to control grain discoloration caused by fungi.
