The renovated seed outlet and Agriculture Information Centre located at Dambulla Economic Centre of the Department of Agriculture was opened on 18.07.2024. It has been renovated under the patronage of the Director General of Agriculture and the Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture, under the guidance of the Agribusiness and Development Division of the Department and with the contribution of The JICA Project.

The Department of Agriculture states that through this, farmers and the people of the area will be able to get the required quality seeds without any hindrance. Technical information for crop cultivation, Agro inputs and machinery information as well as information on Agro-Entrepreneurship can also be obtained from this center.
