Entomology Division

Mandate of the Division

To develop environmentally sound and effective pest management strategies to reduce yield losses cause by insect pests, mites and plant parasitic nematodes in other field crops.

Services

  • Conducting training and awareness programs on pest management practices of field crops.
  • Field investigations upon request by farmers or other stake holders to give recommendations on different field problems related to pest management.
  • Technology dissemination through media and other campaigns like exhibitions.
  • Evaluation of exotic OFC varieties for major pests.
