Rice Research Station - Samanthurei

Rice Research Station, located at Bangalawadi, Sammanthurai at Amapara District, it was started in the year 2013.The station is exclusively to deal with research on rice in low country dry zone eco system. The Station had tested many popular rice cultivars which are suitable for dry zone.

Mandate of the center:

To conduct research in rice, to generate and recommend the management and protection technologies to the farmers.

To monitor and forecast, rice pests and diseases and provide suitable plant protection measures.

To produce quality  seed paddy of the popular rice varieties released from RRDI system.
