Grain Quality Division

The mandate of the grain quality division to provide best laboratory support for breeding programs at RRDI that require physical, physio-chemical and sensory evaluation of promising rice lines and grain quality improvement research activities through quality analysis.

Services

  • Training and supervision of undergraduate students, Students from agriculture schools and technical collages.
  • Evaluation of grain quality parameters of rice samples from other institutions (Sri Lanka Custom, Consumer affairs Authority, Private company’s millers and farmers)
  • Conducting trainings programs for officers, farmers and school children.
