National Agriculture Information and Communication Centre (NAICC)
National Agriculture Information and Communication Centre (NAICC) is responsible for dissemination of appropriate agriculture technologies to farming communities and other beneficiaries through electronic, print and social media, developing and implementation of e solutions for agriculture sector, and improve the IT applications for Department of Agriculture (DOA). There are five sub units comes under this centre namely,
- Agriculture Publication Unit (APU),
- Chamal Rajaphaksha Agro Technology and Tourism Park,
- Farm Broadcasting Service (FBS),
- Agro Technological Park (GATP) Gannoruwa
- Central Library.
Information Technology unit, 1920 call centre, Video unit, Graphic communication and Training unit are functioning at headquarters of NAICC, Gannoruwa.
