Development of new ultra-short age rice varieties

Ultra short age rice varieties which mature in 75-80 days are becoming important as the erratic whether condition prevailed. These varieties are suitable for rainfed ecosystems as the water availability is major constrain. As well short age varieties could be used in the areas where late planting is adopted and to re-established the crop which damage due to flash flood.
