Agricultural Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme – 2023

The Department of Agriculture has organized a series of one day, two days and three days awareness and skill development programmes which may beneficial for the individuals those who are interested in training agro – enterprises or who wish to further develop the existing agro – enterprises. The programme consists of essential basic theoritical and practical aspects required for intiating economically viable agro – enterprises.

How to conduct the Courses :

All courses are conducted in Sinhala medium only. An individual is able to participate in several courese too. Dates of conducting the courses will be notified in writing to the registered applicants two weeks prior to the commencement of the courses. The groups consisting 30 individuals each will be called for the coureses, having the received applications been entered to a priority list on first come first serve basis.

Requirements to be satisfied : Individual or group of people who expect to be agricultural enterpreneure.
How to register for the courses :

You can register for the courses by sending an application together with a Bank slip (after depositing the registration fee of Rs.200/= except course fee, food and lodging). Individuals can pay to any branch of Peoples bank to the account number 057-10017 9027204 People’s bank, Peradeniya under the name of Director Genaral of Agriculture (Cheques , Money Order are not accepted.)

Please note that if you are unable to participate in the courses on due date, your registration fee will not be refunded, and we are unable to recall you for the courses. The venues of the courses may change on unvoidable circumstances.

Course Fee :

Course fee can be paid on the day of the course.The details at the course fees are as given below.

Charges for food and lodging :

Trainees can obtain food and accomodation facilities at the venue at a nominal cost. The payments for food and logging can be directly paid to the institute on the date of participation.(The food & lodging prices may very according to the Institution)
