Implementation of the IPPC Project on Capacity Development in NPQS

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) is implementing a global project under the framework of the FAO-China South-South cooperation (SSC) programme. The IPPC Secretariat selected Sri Lanka as a pilot county of this IPPC project, to demonstrate the development of phytosanitary capacities (PCE) and application for the Chinese technologies and products on plant health in pilot site.

For implementation of this IPPC project in Sri Lanka, four representatives from IPPC have organized a field visit to Sri Lanka on 24th to 28th February 2018. Initial meeting with these representatives and the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be held on 25thand 28thFebruary, 2019 at National Plant Quarantine Service (NPQS), Katunayake.
